Engineering System Of Data Centers (Part II)

Subsystem fire alarm and gas fire.

  • Burglar alarms, access control subsystem (eg, using biometric data) and continuous video surveillance for visual verification of events.

Communication subsystem : Saturation of the data center network and server equipment determines the complexity of the communication infrastructure, which consists of the following components:

  • Subsystem mortgages channels – for the protection and orderly laying low voltage and power lines.
  • Cabling subsystem – for the formation of a single transmission medium information.
  • Subsystem internal telephone for voice communication.

In the process of building infrastructure a data center, it  may require additional construction work, such as ensuring the load capacity of overlap (up to 1 t / m 2), false ceilings etc.

Infrastructure subsystem is designed with the possibility of (planned) growth capacity of servers, network equipment and their connections without interrupting the information system. When building the capacity of the Redundant Data Centers, it is important to have relevant documentation of the current state of infrastructure and resources. Therefore, registration of documents are given special attention.

Reliability of redundant data centers infrastructure has an impact on the overall readiness of the information system. Due to the non-operational standards, even when using the most reliable equipment, it is impossible to provide the necessary access to information services. Therefore, it is important to pay special attention to design of infrastructure of Data Centers.

Data Storage Systems (Part II)

The main advantages of networked storage are:

  • Scalability : With increasing volumes of data center services, scalability becomes increasingly important because it is reducing the cost of storing data.
  • High Performance :  Application Protocol Fiber Channel provides high speed data exchange.
  • High Availability And Reliability : Thanks to its modular architecture, it has become possible because of the standby component storage and elimination of single points of failure.

Effective implementation of procedures for data migration (backup, replication, etc.), reduce the of loads on a local area network (LAN) and computer systems through the use of a dedicated storage area network SAN hardware and data migration.

  • Flexible reallocation of disk storage and consolidation of storage devices.
  • Implementation of secure data access from various environments.

For the volume of data, application of SAN is the most reasonable solution from an economic point of view. Thanks to a wide adaptive capacities of storage area networks which introduced us to these technologies that allows us to predict the risks and downtime of services, providing high availability to data of any type, which greatly reduces the cost of storage.
